Brussels, Belgium, April 7, 2009 – YES-European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, the pan-European organisation bringing together 16 national federations and representing more than 40,000 individual entrepreneurs, held its EXECOM Meeting & Conference in Milan on 2-4 April.
The event hosted by Confindustria Giovani Imprenditori, the Italian member of YES, has been a great opportunity for young entrepreneurs from all over Europe to gather, to discuss the current issues and to exchange ideas on how to manage the present recession.
Addressing the topic “Ground Zero: Ruling Europe towards a new model”, high level panellists such as Matteo Colaninno, (Member of the Italian Parliament-Partito Democratico) and Daniele Capezzone (Spokesman - Forza Italia) among others were given the floor to present their views on the measures that should be taken to tackle the current crisis.
Participants had also the opportunity to listen to Mr. Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Transports. Mr. Tajani underlined the importance for Europe to act as a united power in facing the crisis, discouraging every protectionist temptations that may arise.
Martin Ohneberg, YES president and Federica Guidi, president of Confindustria Giovani Imprenditori concluded the debate, stressing the necessity of collaboration of entrepreneurs between the different European countries, as they represent the key elements reviving the economy and enhancing a sustainable growth.
