YES welcomes re-election of Barroso |

Brussels, Belgium, September 16, 2009 – Today José Manuel Barroso was endorsed by the European Parliament for a second term as the president of the European Commission. YES – European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs congratulates President Barosso on his re-election.
YES as a representative of young entrepreneurs across Europe strongly hopes that in the present critical times, the President will by all means be available to foster open trade, stabilize the financial system and stimulate innovation and investment leading us to a healthy climate for the young entrepreneurs and all entrepreneurs.
When presenting his 5-year programme, President Barroso focused on an approach based on solidarity, which was dominant in the list of proposals to be implemented. With the loaded agenda of the Union, there will be a lot of obstacles and challenges, especially for the Lisbon treaty and post-Lisbon strategies. We are all looking forward to the continuity of the success of the President.

1st G8 Young Business Summit |

 Stresa, 3 July 2009 - Today, the Young Entrepreneurs from the G8 countries and YES, the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs gathered together in Stresa and discussed how to apply innovative solutions to the current financial and economic situation and they released a joint declaration on how to set a path towards a sustainable and thriving growth.
YES president Martin Ohneberg stated: "In order to contribute the upcoming G8 Summit, we wish to build the case for the G8 leaders for the need to agree and develop a strategy to support young entrepreneurship by recognizing the important role we play as engines and key drivers for the future”.

The event, kindly hosted by CEAJE - The Spanish Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, had the great opportunity to gather young entrepreneurs from all over Europe to discuss the topics of innovative attitude and brand image.
